3.1 the relief of sickness, the preservation and protection of the physical and mental health and welfare among children and young persons residing in any part of the world; and3.2 to improve the conditions of life of such children and young persons, their families and the communities in which they live who have need of such a service because of the social and economic circumstances; and3.3 to provide funds and equipment to aid research into sickness amongst such children and young persons; and3.4 to promote the provision of suitable medical and nursing assistance, and support services and related amenities for such affected children and young persons, their families and carers; and3.5 to advance the education of medical, nursing and other related professionals, voluntary and statutory organisations and the general public in the care of such affected persons, their families and carers by means of any appropriate educative activities; and3.6 to promote the advancement of education amongst, but not exclusively, such children and young persons; and3.7 to provide facilities which further the education of such children and young persons; and3.8 to provide facilities which further such children's and young persons' recreation and/or leisure-time occupations, in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving their condition of life; and3.9 the relief of such children and young persons by any legal means which the trustees shall in their absolute discretion think is appropriate.
