to promote, support and advance the visual and performing arts of the locale in all their aspects for the community and public benefit and to further public knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the visual and performing arts and in particular (but not limited)to:1) to initiate and manage both visual and performing arts projects.2)to liaise and work with local community, the local authorities and education providers on projects.3) to commission work by artists, both of a temporary and permanent nature.4) to stimulate participation in creative activities by all members of the community and visitors.
