Objects:

(1) to promote the efficiency of the naval service or auxiliaries by the provision of prizes and awards to naval service or auxiliaries personnel: (a) who show marked efficiency in their duties; (b) who distinguish themselves in examinations or as students on courses; (c) for innovation, useful research, suggestions or inventions which improve the efficiency of the naval service or auxiliaries; (d) for other purposes as agreed by the trustees from time to time. 3 such charitable purposes as the trustees shall from time to time think fit including but not limited to:-3.1 the relief in need, hardship or distress of beneficiaries and their families and dependants;3.2 the assistance with provision of or contribution to the education and training of children of beneficiaries; and3.3 the promotion of efficiency of the naval service and the auxiliaries by way of the enhancement of morale, the improvement of recruitment and retention, and the further relief and encouragement, of men and women who are serving in the naval service or the auxiliaries. the object of the charity is the relief of beneficiaries and their dependants who are in need by virtue of financial hardship, sickness, disability or the effects of old age through the provision of grants, loans, gifts, pensions or otherwise. the object of the charity is the promotion of efficiency of the naval service and auxiliaries by: (1) the provision, support and improvement of facilities and activities for the recreation and amenity of personnel and their dependants of the naval service and auxiliaries;(2) the provision of financial assistance for travel and associated accommodation and subsistence expenses to a) naval service and auxiliaries personnel on deployment and connected persons b) naval service personnel recruited from foreign and commonwealth countries and connected persons; (3) the provision, maintenance and support for any church chapel or other place of worship or any religious activity for the benefit of personnel and their dependants of the naval service and auxiliaries; (4) the provision and support of recreational activities, patient comforts and amenity facilities, for those personnel of the naval service and auxiliaries under medical care. (1) subject to the provisions of this clause, the object of the charity is the promotion of efficiency of the naval service through the relief of dependants of deceased serving personnel.(2) if, and insofar as the trustee cannot apply the income of the charity for the purpose in sub-clause (1) above, it may at the trustee’s discretion be applied in the relief in need, hardship or distress of the men and women who are serving or have served in the naval service or the auxiliaries or the women’s royal naval service. (1) subject to the provisions of this clause, the object of the charity is the promotion of efficiency of the armed forces of the crown through the relief of: (a) dependants of deceased serving personnel; and (b) injured serving personnel and their dependants.(2) if, and insofar as the trustee cannot apply the income of the charity for the purpose in sub-clause (1) above, it may at the trustee’s discretion be applied in the following order of priority:(a) for the relief of serving personnel of the fleet air arm who are wounded, injured or sick; (b) for the relief in need, hardship or distress of serving personnel of the fleet air arm;(c) for the support of morale and efficiency of serving personnel of the fleet air arm. 1) promoting the efficiency of the maritime reserves by the provision, support and improvement of facilities and activities for the recreation and amenity of maritime reserves personnel,2) such other charitable purposes for the benefit of maritime reserves personnel and their dependants as the trustee shall from time to time think fit. the promotion of efficiency in the naval service and the auxiliaries by encouraging participation in sport and adventure training principally but not exclusively through: (a) the provision, management and support of sports facilities; (b) the arrangement of sports competitions; (c) the organisation of teams and all related activities; (d) the arrangement of and support for adventure training; and (e) the provision of financial assistance for travel and associated accommodation and subsistence expenses. (a) the promotion of the efficiency of all ranks of or serving with the queen alexandra's royal naval nursing service including (without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing) the provision of recreational facilities chattels amenities and other goods and property (whether of a durable and permanent nature or otherwise) not provided for out of public funds (b) the relief of hardship distress or poverty amongst serving or former members of the queen alexandra's royal naval nursing service or their dependants by the provision or application of such moneys whether by loan or gift as the managing trustees consider to be necessary. relieving any of the following persons who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress: (1) all serving members of the royal navy, women's royal naval service and queen alexandra's royal naval nursing service and royal marines serving in the plymouth naval command, the western family services area or in ships which have plymouth as their base port; (2) the spouses, families and legally dependant relatives of any such persons serving as aforesaid; (3) the next-of-kin of any such person serving as aforesaid so as to provide temporary assistance upon his or her death; (4) the spouses, families and legally dependant relatives whose home is in the plymouth naval command or western family services area, of serving members of the royal navy, queen alexandra's royal naval nursing service and royal marines irrespective of where the serving member as aforesaid may be serving; (5) the next-of-kin whose home is in the plymouth naval command or western family services area of serving members of the royal navy, women's royal naval service and queen alexandra's royal naval nursing service and royal marines so as to provide temporary assistance upon his or her death, irrespective of where the serving member as aforesaid may be serving. relief of any orphan, surviving spouse or civil partner of naval medical officers who were subscribers to the fund
