Objects:
The objects of the Charity are to promote the following purposes for the benefit of the public and/or older people within the Isle of Wight:preventing or relieving the poverty of older people;advancing education;preventing or relieving sickness, disease or suffering (whether emotional, mental or physical);promoting equality and diversity;promoting the human rights of older people in accordance with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights;assisting older people in need by reason of ill-health, social exclusion or other disadvantage; andsuch other charitable purposes for the benefit of older people as the Directors from time to time decide;the outcome of this being the promotion of the well-being of older people.Nothing in these Articles shall authorise an application of the Charity's property for purposes which are not charitable in accordance with section 7 of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and/or section 2 of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
