"advancement of the christian faith, to promote the effectiveness of churches and other christian charitable bodies which become members of the association ('members') by providing services to members in relation to child protection and the safeguarding of vulnerable adults and related issues ('safeguarding issues') and in particular by:3.1 providing members with a service to obtain disclosure of convictions and other relevant information from the criminal records bureau, the scottish criminal record office their successors and other bodies holding similar records (""crbs"");3.2 providing members with a forum through which they can communicate with each other on safeguarding issues;3.3 facilitating and enabling members to meet and communicate in relation to safeguarding issues;3.4 representing the views of members in relation to safeguarding issues to the government, the scottish executive, the welsh assembly government, the northern ireland executive, crbs and other bodies; and3.5 providing other services designed to assist members in relation to safeguarding issues including without limiting the generality of the foregoing the development of training in relation to safeguarding issues."
