Objects:
(i) to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the area enclosed by the political ward boundaries of north bersted and environs (hereinafter called 'the area of benefit'), without the distinction of race, or sex, by associating the local authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.(ii) to establish or to secure the establishment of a community centre (hereinafter called 'the centre' and to maintain and manage or to co-operatewith any local statuary authority in the maintenance and management of such a centre for activities promoted by the organisation and constituent bodies in furtherance of the above objects. the organisation shall be non-party in politics and non-sectarian in religion. the organisation shall have the power to affiliate to community matters and to other organisations with similar charitable objects.(iii) to do all such lawful acts as are essential or conducive to the attaining of the above objects or any of them provided always that funds of the centre or any income shall not be applied to or for any purpose that is not legally charitable.
