3.1 the trustees shall hold the capital and income at the trust fund upon trust to advance education and to promote research in general aviation (ga) for the purpose of developing safety and with the emphasis on the enjoyment of a safe flight within the regulatory environment.3.2 the trustees shall hold the capital and income of the trust fund upon trust to pay or apply the whole thereof in such manner as the trustees shall in their absolute discretion think fit with power for the trustees (if in their absolute discretion they think fit) during the period of 21 years commencing with the execution of this deed to accumulate the whole or any part or parts of the income of the trust fund by investing the same in any investments hereby authorised and so that the accumulations made shall be held as an accretion to the capital of the trust fund to or for the benefit of such one or more charitable purposes or charitable institutions in any part of the world at such time or times in such manner and in such proportions the trustees may from time to time in their discretion determine.3.3 the trustees shall not apply any part of the trust fund directly in relief of public funds, but may apply the whole or any part of the trust fund in supplementing public funds.3.4 the trustees may, in their discretion, for the period of 21 years from the date of this deed, instead of applying the income of the charity in any year, accumulate all or any part of such income by investing the same, and the resulting income, in any authorised investments and shall hold the same as an accretion to and as part of the capital of the charity, without prejudice to their right to apply the whole or any part of such accumulated income in any subsequent year as if the same were income of the charity arising in the then current year.
