3.1 building a full-scale reproduction of a traditional packet-boat on or near to the montgomery canal based in the north of the country of powys or at an agreed alternative site3.2 providing skills training in traditional boat-building and other canal-related crafts as may be deemed desirable and practical3.3 providing facilities for educational purposes through operating the boat to demonstrate the methods of operation and maintenance of canal craft and packet-boats in particular3.4 providing an interface with history through enactment, participation and study3.5 researching the history of canal passenger facilities, on the shropshire union canals (including the montgomery canal) and the bridgwater canal in particular and to publish findings3.6 building and/or operating such other craft as may be deemed feasible and practicable in fulfilling the aims of the trust3.7 promoting or assisting financially or otherwise any museum or visitor centre and presenting public displays of items relating to the historical and industrial development of inland waterways and their craft3.8 researching the historical significance of inland waterways and historic inland waterway craft at home or abroad, their historic and future prospects and the means to prevent their neglect and abandonment, and the publication of the results of such research3.9 holding (either alone or with others) meetings, exhibitions, lectures, classes, seminars, workshops and courses, cruises, rallies and events and producing and distributing, for payment or otherwise, magazines, books, leaflets or other documents or films or recordings3.10 undertaking other charitable activities and liaise with other organisations as may be deemed to be advantageous to the local community and within the general terms of the aims and objectives of the trust
