a) to provide and/or assist in the provision of facilities for recreation and other leisure-time occupation for children, particularly (though not exclusively) those who are resident in the new cross and surrounding area of the london borough of lewisham, being facilities: i) of which such children have need of such facilities by reason of their youth or social and economic circumstances; andii) which will improve the conditions of life for such children by promoting their physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing.(b) to further or benefit the residents of areas where the charity is active, without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or of political, religious or other opinions, by associating together the said residents and local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education, to relieve poverty and need, and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the residents.
