"3. the trustees must apply the income of the charity in furthering the following objects both within and outside of the united kingdom (""the objects""):(i) the relief of poverty; (ii) the relief of sickness, including the provision of palliative care and support to the families and carers of terminally ill people; (iii) the relief of the charitable needs of the elderly and disabled; (iv) the advancement of education and training including vocational training, in particular, but not exclusively in the fields of medicine and veterinary medicine; and(v) the promotion of humane behaviour towards animals by providing appropriate care, protection, treatment and security for animals which are in need of care and attention by reason of sickness, maltreatment, poor circumstances or ill usage and to educate the public in matters pertaining to animal welfare in general and the prevention of cruelty and suffering among animals."
