the objects of the trust are (the 'objects'):1) the provision of, or assistance in the provision of, facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation, for the benefit of far east prisoners of war imprisoned and interned by the japanese during 1941-1945 and their dependants, who by reason of age, infirmity, or disablement, poverty or social and economic circumstances have a need of such facilities; and2) the prevention or relief of poverty, distress or suffering by appropriate charitable assistance to benefit far east prisoners of war imprisoned and interned by the japanese during 1941-1945 and their dependants.
