3.1 the trustees shall hold the capital and income of the trust fund upon trust to apply the income, and all or such part or parts of the capital, at such times, in such manner, and subject to such restrictions (if any), as the trustees may in their discretion think fit for or towards education for the benefit of the public including:3.1.1 the advancement of knowledge in the fields of scientific education and research;3.1.2 the promotion and support by any means of high-quality education and training relating to the understanding and development of all branches of mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and engineering of whatever discipline;3.1.3 the promotion and dissemination of all fields of scientific education world-wide; and3.1.4 the advancement of theoretical, applied and human sciences and technologies, modern languages, the arts and sport.
