a) to advance the education of pupils studying music by providing and assisting in the provision of part or full tuition fees, accommodation costs, instrument purchase or hire, hire of practice or concert facilities, transport, worldwide accommodation costs for performances (particularly those organised, sponsored or otherwise involving the charity).b) to promote knowledge of and interest in music and the people who create and perform it.c) to carry out and support research into all aspects of music.the trustees shall give preference in the application of the income of the charity to pupils at the royal college of music, london and to the furtherance of the study of music at the college, but only for such time as the college remains a charitable organisation at law dedicated to providing musical education. during such time the trustees may apply the income of the charity in understanding or supporting any activity or programme at the college which is in fulfilment of the objects.
