to develop the capacity and skills of the members of the socially and economically disadvantaged community of birmingham in such a way that they are better able to identify, and help meet, their needs and to participate more fully in society* to advance in life and help young people through:a the provision of recreational and leisure time activities provided in the interest of social welfare, designed to improve their conditions of life;b providing support and activities which develop their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as mature and responsible individuals.* to help young people, especially but not exclusively through leisure time activities, so as to develop their capabilities that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society* to act as a resource for young people up to the age of 16 living in birmingham by providing advice and assistance and organising programmes of physical, educational and other activities as a means of:a advancing in life and helping young people by developing their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as independent, mature and responsible individuals.;b advancing education;c providing recreational and leisure time activity in the interests of social welfare for people living in the area of birmingham who have need by reason of their poverty or social and economic circumstances with a view to improving the conditions of life of such persons.to advance the education of the public in the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment.the promotion of religious harmony for the benefit of the public by:a educating the public in different religious beliefs including an awareness of their distinctive features and their common ground to promote good relations between persons of different faiths;b promoting knowledge and mutual understanding and respect of the beliefs and practices of different religious faiths.the promotion of equality and diversity for the public benefit by:a advancing education and raising awareness in equality and diversity;b promoting activities to foster understanding between people from diverse backgrounds.the relief of financial need and suffering among victims of natural or other kinds of disaster in the form of money (or other means deemed suitable) for persons, bodies, organisations and/or countries affected [including the provision of medical aid]..
