3.1 to promote humane behaviour towards humans, animal and the environment by:3.1.1 providing education programmes for schools, universities and communities relevant to humans, animals and the environment to encourage principles of compassion & empathy; care and respect; animal sentience; civic responsibility; and3.1.2 providing appropriate care, protection, treatment and security for animals which are in need of care and attention by reason of sickness, maltreatment, poor circumstances or ill usage; and3.1.3 educating the public on matters pertaining to human, animal and environment welfare, including the prevention of cruelty and suffering among animals; and3.1.4 providing advice, assistance, training and support to members of the public and/or organisations who require such advice, assistance, training and support in connection with human, animal and environmental welfare and/or cruelty issues and;3.1.5 undertaking research into matters pertaining to human, animal and environmental welfare.
