"(1) to ""promote human rights (as set out in the universal declaration of humanrights and subsequent united nations conventions and declarations) byseeking to eliminate the abduction of children and their conscription as childsoldiers in northern uganda. the charity shall do this by all or any of thefollowing means:= raising awareness of human rights issues;= promoting public support for human rights;= promoting respect for human rights among individuals and corporations;= relieving need among the victims of human rights abuses.to advance the education of vulnerable youth affected by the armed conflict innorthern uganda by:= mentoring children, particularly children who are total orphans, headsof household, formerly abducted returnees, living with hiv/aids, orchild mothers;= providing educational opportunities for such youth;= organising teacher exchange programmes; and= assisting in the provision of teacher training, equipment, technology,infrastructure, water and sanitation and other resources for ugandanschools.the relief of financial hardship among people living in northern uganda bysuch means as the trustees think fit.the relief of sickness and the preservation of health among people living innorthern uganda by such means as the trustees think fit."
