to organise or provide or assist in the organisation or provision of facilities which will enable children, young persons and other resident in the areas of basildon, castle point and adjoining districts (hereinafter called the area of benefit) to undertake gymnastics ensuring that due attention is given to the development and occupation of their minds.in furtherance of such objects but not otherwise the charity may:provide or assist in the provision of gymnastics and sports equipment for use of such persons:teach and develop interest in olympic gymnastics and associated disciplines (eg. freestyle, dance and movement) and promote the consolidation and practise thereof:promote competitions at all levels:observe and administer the rules and directions of british gymnastics or its successor body.
