(b) such charitable purposes as are charitable according to the laws of england and wales for the benefit of the residents as the trustee thinks fit; (c) the relief of the inhabitants of the area of benefit who are in need, hardship or distress, either generally or individually, by making grants of money for providing or paying for items, services or facilities. (in exceptional circumstances, the trustee may grant relief to a person who is otherwise eligible but resides outside the area of benefit); and(d) the promotion of such charitable purposes as are charitable according to the laws of england and wales for the general benefit of the inhabitants of the area of benefit as the trustee thinks fit.(2) the land identified in part 1 of the schedule to this scheme must be retained by the trustee for use as the homes.
