"3 1 the prevention and reduction of human trafficking anywhere in the world, which is defined in the 2000 un protocol to prevent suppress and punish trafficking in persons as ""the recruitment, transportation, transfer, harbouring or receipt of persons, by means of the threat or use of force or other forms of coercion, of abduction, of fraud, of deception, of the abuse of power or of a position of vulnerability or of the giving or receiving of payments or benefits to achieve the consent of a person having control over another person, for the purpose of exploitation exploitation shall include, at a minimum, the exploitation of the prostitution of others or other forms of sexual exploitation, forced labour or services, slavery or practices similar to slavery, servitude or the removal of organs"", 3 2 the prevention and relief of human suffering of anyone who may have been the victim of human trafficking, in particular through the provision of immediate support including the provision of medical, psychological, educational and social support services to the victims of human trafficking,3 3 the relief of financial and other hardship of anyone who may have been the victim of human trafficking, in particular through assistance with repatriation, housing and social re-integration,3 4 the research and advancement of knowledge and education for the public benefit regarding all aspects of human trafficking, including its socio-economic causes and dynamics, participants, routes and victims, using methods including field research, co-ordination with governmental (local and national) and similar bodies,3 5 the promotion of awareness of human trafficking and its destructive effects and consequences within locations where potential victims may originate, and3 6 the co-ordination with similar organisations internationally to reduce and eradicate human trafficking."
