1 to promote the efficiency and effectiveness of charities and the effective application of resources by non charitable bodies for public benefit in the delivery of their humanitarian relief and development programmes so as to relieve charitable need amongst the victims of natural or other kinds of disaster, war and civil unrest in any part of the world, by;a creating, managing and promoting an evolving body of knowledge, software, systems and processes to be readily available to those bodies;b improving the management and co-ordination of humanitarian relief and development support by and between those bodies;c providing training and support for those bodies and their personnel;d providing logistical support to those bodies;e co-orienting or assisting in the co-ordination of the funding of relief and development work;f providing advice and guidance on best practice in the provision of humanitarian relief and development services; andg advancing education and knowledge of persons, bodies and organisations and the public generally in the logistics and organisation of the provision of humanitarian aid.
