19.1 for the benefit of the public in particular in the london borough of haringey and surrounding boroughs by associating together the local authority, voluntaryorganisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education, the artsand to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants;19.2 to secure the preservation, protection, development and improvement of buildings of historic or public interest in particular but not exclusively hornsey town hall, to enable them to be enjoyed by the public;19.3 to promote the efficiency and effectiveness of charities and the effective use of charitable resources for the public benefit by (a) providing accommodation andother facilities and services to charities and (b) liaising with, and acting as a forumfor the exchange of information between, charities, voluntary organisations andagencies working in haringey, and thereby supporting their work in furtherance ofcharitable purposes; and19.4 to promote any charitable purpose for the benefit of the said inhabitants.
