to advance the education of young people who are resident in the city ofsouthampton and the adjacent local authorities but who are educated insouthampton including but without limitation by:-(a) raising standards in schools in southampton(b) supporting and collaborating with schools in southampton(c) providing links between schools, businesses, higher and further educationestablishments(d) providing cohesion between schools and their local communities(e) appointing, training and counselling potential governors for schools insouthampton(f) co-ordinating skills and experiences of governors and potential governors forschools in southampton,- (g) bidding for new schools in southampton established under the education act2005 or any re-enactment or amendment thereto or under any othereducation legislation(h) providing and commissioning publications, research and training in allaspects of education and administration in schools in southampton(2) to advance the education of pupils at any school which is a qualifying school or anyother school in respect of which the charity acts or has acted as a foundation it beingacknowledged that in carrying out this object the charity must where applicable haveregard to its objective to promote community cohesion under the education acts.
