Objects:
to provide, for the benefit of the public:-(i) the relief of financial hardship by provision of free legal advice and assistance and representation in the area of family law to persons who, through lack of means, would otherwise be unable to obtain 0such obtain advice.(ii) to provide assistance through conciliation for couples whose relationships appear to be breaking down, and where such relationships have already broken down, to advise and help in the settlement of differences or potential differences over associated matters for example the residence and contact of the parties-çö children and financial matters.(iii) the prevention or relief of poverty or financial hardship in the united kingdom by providing or assisting in the provision of education, training, healthcare projects and all the necessary support designed to enable individuals to generate a sustainable income and be self-sufficient.(iv) to promote social inclusion by preventing people from becoming socially excluded, relieving the needs of those people who are socially excluded and assisting them to integrate into society. for the purpose of this clause -ç£socially excluded-çø means being excluded from society, or parts of society, as a result of one or more of the following factors. (a) poor education or skills attainment; (b) relationship and family breakdown; and(c) as a victim of crime. (v) the promotion of social inclusion among single parents and their children, who are excluded from society, or parts of society, due to the social and economic position by the provision of a drop-in support and education centre to enable single parents and their children to develop and gain new skills.(vi) to act as a resource for young people up to the age of 30 years living in the dover district council area by providing advice and assistance and organising programmes of educational and other activities as a means of:-(a) advancing in life and helping young people by developing their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as independent, mature and responsible individuals.(b) advancing education.(c) relieving unemployment.(vii) to advance the education of the public in the subject of domestic abuse and the consequences of family breakdown.(viii) to provide assistance in the relief of unemployment in such ways as may be thought fit including assistance to find employment.(ix) to provide support services to victims of domestic abuse to ensure that no person, irrespective of age, gender, sexual orientation or ethnic grouping, is subjected to an abuse of power by an existing or former intimate partner or family member and to provide programmes and projects to ensure that the symptoms of domestic abuse are quickly identified and effectively responded to so as to provide immediate support to the victims of domestic abuse and their family members in terms of legal advice, assistance and representation and to support the victims of domestic abuse beyond initial intervention to ensure the promotion of social inclusion of victims of domestic abuse and their children who are excluded from society or parts of society due to their social or economic position by provision of drop-in support and education centre to enable victims of domestic abuse and their children to develop and gain new skills.
