(1) for the charitable purposes of the truro branch of the royal british legion for the charitable relief and welfare of men and women who have served with the armed forces of the crown and of their widows, children and other dependants;(2) in so far as the property is or shall not be used or required for the charitable purposes and objects of the truro branch of the royal british legion the trustees shall hold it upon trust for the purposes of providing a place of recreation without distinction of sex, political, religious or other opinions, including use for meetings, lectures and classes and for other forms of recreation and leisure time occupation for the use as a recreational facility within the meaning of the recreational charities act 1958 for the recreation and leisure time occupation of the inhabitants of truro and district in the interest of the social welfare of those inhabitants and with a view to improving their conditions of life.
