Objects:

(1) to relieve children, young people and their families in financial need, hardship or distress in the area of benefit by such charitable means as the trustees see fit with the aim to improve their welfare and well-being; (2) to advance in life and help children and young people in the area of benefit in particular by providing support and activities which develop their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as mature and responsible individuals; (3) to advance education in the area of benefit in particular but not exclusively by working to tackle illiteracy and improving access to primary education (in particular for under privileged children and young people) by child sponsoring, the award of scholarships, the provision of school equipment and by supporting the building of public primary schools and improving existing ones (the trustees will not relieve the state of any statutory duties it may have to build and improve such schools). (4)to provide and assist in the provision of facilities for recreation and other leisure time occupations in the interests of social welfare with the aim of improving the conditions of life of those persons for whom the facilities are provided.(5) to promote human rights (as set out in the universal declaration of human rights and subsequent united nations conventions and declarations) in particular the rights of children (as set out in the united nations convention on the rights of the child (uncrc)) in the area of benefit by all or any of the following means: -monitoring abuses of human rights; -obtaining redress for the victims of human rights abuse; -relieving need among the victims of human rights abuse; -research into human rights issues; -providing technical advice to government and others on human rights matters; -contributing to the sound administration of human rights law; -commenting on proposed human rights legislation; -raising awareness of human rights issues; -promoting public support for human rights; -promoting respect for human rights among individuals and corporations; -international advocacy of human rights; -eliminating infringements of human rights.
