(a) to advance the education of the public in sikh arts, culture and heritage;(b) to advance the sikh religion for the benefit of the public through the holding ofprayer meetings, lectures, public celebration of religious festivals, producingand/or distributing literature on the sikh faith to enlighten others about the sikhreligion;(c) the prevention or relief of poverty by providing grants, items and services toindividuals in need and/or charities, or other organisations working to preventor relieve poverty; and(d) to promote and protect the physical and mental health of people who havebeen affected by drug and alcohol abuse, physical abuse, forced marriages,caste discrimination, infanticide and human trafficking through the provision ofeducation, counselling and support.these are its charitable purposes for the purposes of the 2006 act. for as long as thecompany is a charity, its purposes may only be altered with the prior consent of thecharity commission and in accordance with any conditions attached to such consent.
