"(1) to provide relief from disability, ill health and poverty overseas, by the recycling of mobility, medical, sports, educational and other equipment that would otherwise be discarded in the uk, and by distributing this equipment to individuals in need, and to appropriate organisations. (2) to promote sustainable development for the benefit of the public by: (a) the preservation, conservation and the protection of the environment and the prudent use of resources; (b) the relief of poverty and the improvement of the conditions of life in socially and economically disadvantaged communities. sustainable development means ""development which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs."" (3) to create a prototype community centre to develop the capacity and skills of the members of the socially and economically disadvantaged community of people with disabilities in team, ghana in such a way that they are better able to identify, and help meet, their needs and to participate more fully in society."
