4. objects4.1 the company has been established for public benefit primarily but not exclusively for the benefit of the residents and visitors to cornwall and its surrounding areas for the following purposes.4.1.1 to promote the urban or rural regeneration of areas of social and economic deprivation by all or any of the following means4.1.1.1 the creation of training and employment opportunities by the provision of workspace, buildings, and/or land for use on favourable terms, and/or4.1.1.2 the provision of housing for those who are in conditions of need and the improvement of housing in the public sector or in charitable ownership provided that such power shall not extend to relieving any local authorities or other bodies of a statutory duty to provide or improve housing, and/or4.1.1.3 the maintenance, improvement or provision of public amenities, and/or4.1.1.4 the preservation of buildings or sites of historic or architectural importance, and/or4.1.1.5 the provision of recreational facilities for the public at large or those who by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, financial hardship or social and economic circumstances, have need of such facilities, and/or4.1.1.6 the protection or conservation of the environment, and/or4.1.2 to promote the arts, heritage and culture, and/or4.1.3 to advance the education of the public, and/or4.1.4 to provide or assist in the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age infirmity or disability, financial hardship or social circumstances with the object of improving their conditions of life, and/or4.1.5 to further the benefit the residents of cornwall and the neighbourhood, without distinctions of sex, sexual orientation, race or political, religious or other opinions by association together the said residents and the local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation leisure time occupation with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the residents, and/or4.1.6 such other charitable purposes for public benefit consistent with the objects above as the trustees shall in their absolute discretion determine.(the 'objects')
