Objects:
2a the objects of the company are to further such general charitable purposes as the directors see fit from time to time in particular but not exclusively:(i) the advancement of the education and development of the pupils at lapworth c of e school and the children at lapworth pre-school by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities for education and for play at those schools;(ii) for the public benefit, the promotion of education (including social and physical training) of people under the age of 18 years in lapworth and its immediately surrounding areas in such ways as the company thinks fit including but not limited to supporting youth clubs in the locality;(iii) assisting in such ways as the company thinks fit, any charity in lapworth and its immediately surrounding areas whose aims include advancing the education of persons under the age of 25 years by developing their mental, physical and moral capabilities through leisure time activities;(iv) for the public benefit, the promotion of learning for pleasure by people no longer in full time employment through the continued development of their individual capabilities, competencies, skills and understanding in subjects of educational value; (v) the advancement of the education of the public in general;(vi) the relief of elderly people resident in lapworth and its immediately surrounding areas who are in need, by providing items, services or facilities calculated to relieve the needs of such persons; (vii) the relief of financial hardship, sickness and poor health amongst elderly people;(viii) to further or benefit the residents of lapworth and the neighbourhood, without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or of political, religious or other opinions by associating together the said residents and the local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation leisure time occupation with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the residents;(ix) the relief of sickness and the preservation of health among people residing permanently or temporarily in lapworth and its immediately surrounding areas;(x) to assist in the treatment and care of persons suffering from mental or physical illness of any description or in need of rehabilitation as a result of such illness, by the provision of facilities for work and recreation;(xi) the relief of sickness, poor health and old age amongst people living in lapworth and its immediately surrounding areas; and(xii) the maintenance of a village hall for the use of the inhabitants of lapworth and its immediately surrounding areas without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including use for (a) meetings and classes and (b) other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the inhabitants.(2) the income of the company shall be applied in promoting the objects set out in article 2.a (1) above and shall not be available to pay by way of distribution to the members of the company.
