Objects:
to relieve the needs of those who have suffered domestic violence and abuse and their dependants in particular but not exclusively by:i. offering a range of support services for men who want to stop behaving violently or abusively, and for the people affected by their violence or abuse.ii. reducing the occurrence of domestic abuse, by working educationally and therapeutically with perpetrators, with the aim of stopping their violent behaviour and changing their abusive attitudes.iii. support perpetrators of family abuse who express a desire to change, by helping them develop the life skills needed to maintain safer relationships, either with their current partner, or to develop safer family relationships in the future.iv. offering support and services to partners and ex-partners in order to increase their choices and well-being.v. meeting the needs of women experiencing and affected by family domestic abuse and the needs of men and women who are perpetrating domestic and family abuse.vii. empowering men and women who have been perpetrating family domestic abuse to address and change their behaviour.viii. working directly towards overcoming the poverty, deprivation and disadvantage experienced across the community as a result of family domestic abuse.ix. directly delivering and influencing provision of preventative work to reduce family domestic abuse.x. supporting and reflecting diversity, challenge discrimination and promote equality of opportunity in all our dealings with stakeholders.xi. promoting cohesive inter-agency responses to family domestic abuse and developing and strengthening partnership working between multi-disciplines.xii. enhancing public awareness of domestic abuse issues and reinforce the concept that violent and abusive behaviour is unacceptable.xiii. assisting agencies and individuals (including funders, referrers and clients) to identify effective interventions and services.
