a. the promotion of social inclusion among people with disabilities and/or life-limiting illness who are socially excluded from society, or parts of society, as a result of being disabled and requiring intensive, specialized support that is normally only available in highly controlled environments such as hospitals or specially equipped homes by:(i) providing the physical means such as mobile care and support facilities and trained staff for people with disabilities and/or life-limiting illness to attend festivals, events, gatherings, shows, plays, performances, theatrical productions, music, arts and other entertainments of all kinds in a safe environment;(ii)collaborating and working with community groups, charities and charitable bodies, voluntary organisations, local and national businesses, local councils and authorities, government departments, schools, colleges, teachers, performers, dancers, musicians, artists, media organisations and other persons and bodies of all kinds in order to identify ways in which barriers to social inclusion faced by people with disabilities and/or life-limiting illness who cannot attend or participate in events can be overcome;(iii) publishing, presenting, promoting, and producing such books, lectures, seminars, courses, conferences and training events to raise public awareness of issues affecting people with life-limiting illness and disability both generally and in relation to their social exclusion.b. to relieve the needs of young people with disabilities and/or life-limiting illness through:(i) the provision of recreational and leisure time activities provided in the interest of social welfare, designed to improve their conditions of life;(ii) providing support and activities which develop their experiences to enable them to participate more widely in society.”
