to further such charitable purposes for the benefit of persons who are, or are in danger of becoming addicted or dependent as a result of the misuse of drugs, alcohol, solvents and other substances and addiction in the form of behavioural processes such as, but not exclusively, gambling, eating disorders, self harming, love and sex addiction through the following activities:i) promoting health improvement through harm reduction and preventative initiatives;ii) reducing inequalities by strengthening substance misuse information base for particular groups; iii) increasing local service capacity for substance misusers via open access and structured community based services; iv) reducing the number of unplanned endings for people in treatment; v) achieving waiting time specifications between referral and assessment and reducing incidences of reported acquisitive crimes.vi) preserving and safeguarding the health of all persons who are, or are in danger of becoming addicted or dependent on drugs of any description, alcohol, solvents or other addictive chemical, process or event and relieving persons suffering from such addiction or dependency.vii) relieving poverty, sickness and distress among such persons.viii) advancing public education and training professionals working in the field of addiction treatment.ix) advancing public education in the dangers arising from the habitual or occasional use of drugs including alcohol and issues relating to all forms of addiction.x) supporting the friends and family of such persons and promoting the welfare of children who have family members with addictions or dependencies.
