to relieve the needs of children with cri du chat syndrome, a rare genetic disorder leaving children born with it with physical and mental disabilities needing care and support throughout their life, in particular but not exclusively by:- providing help, support and advice to families from our own experience and those of our members,- promoting awareness and understanding of the cri du chat syndrome through fund raising events, support group meeting, school, college's and universities.- supporting research that is dedicated to cri du chat syndrome.- supporting students seeking a medical career with genetic disorders.- supporting carers and professionals who care for those with the syndrome and their families.- helping fund or provide specialist equipment and learning aids to families, schools or hospitals.
