1.to promote social inclusion for the public benefit by working with people in south west dorset who are socially excluded on the grounds of their protected characteristics of race, religion and belief, as defined by the equality act 2010, to relieve the needs of such people and assist them to integrate into society by: a)providing a local network group that encourages and enables such people to participate more effectively within the wider community; and b)increasing or co-ordinating opportunities with service providers, to enable those providers to adapt services to better meet the needs of the communities. 2. to promote racial harmony and equality and diversity for the public benefit by: a)working towards an understanding of the effects of racism on all members of society;b)recognising the positive contribution of ethnic minority groups in dorset; and c)promoting understanding and co-operation between people of different ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
