4. objects4.1. the objects of the charity are the provision and maintenance of a village community centre for the use of the inhabitants of wixams (in bedfordshire) and surrounding areas ('the area of benefit') without distinction of political, religious or other opinions distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or of political, religious or other opinions, including:4.1.1. to further or benefit the residents of the area of benefit and the neighbourhood, by associating together the said residents and the local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the objective of improving the quality of life for the residents; and4.1.2. to establish or secure the establishment of a community centre and to maintain or manage or co-operate with any statutory authority in the maintenance and management of such a centre for activities promoted by the association in furtherance of the above objects.
