1)to further or benefit the residents of the nether edge and sharrow districts of the city of sheffield and elsewhere, without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or of political, religious or other opinions by associating together the said residents and the local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare and for recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the residents. 2)the promotion of racial harmony for the public benefit by: i)promoting knowledge and mutual understanding between different racial groups; ii)advancing education and raising awareness about different racial groups to promote good relations between persons of different racial groups; iii)working towards the elimination of discrimination on the grounds of race. 3)the promotion of equality and diversity for the public benefit by:i)advancing education and raising awareness in equality and diversityii)promoting activities to foster understanding between people from diverse backgrounds;iii)cultivating a sentiment in favour of equality and diversity.
