to relieve the needs of serving and former members of the armed forces of the united kingdom and members of their immediate families with a view to promoting reintegration of former members into society in particular by:-(a) assisting and/or promoting their education and/or training and/or reintegration into civilian life;(b) providing leisure activities and promoting spiritual, physical and mental health;(c) assisting in relieving ill-health including, but not limited to, relieving mental and physical disabilities and conditions resulting, directly or indirectly, from combat injury, wounds and/or trauma;(d) assisting in relieving poverty including, but not limited to, the provision of grants, loans and gifts, in cash or kind;(e) assisting and/or supporting any charity, organisation or person, financially or in any other way, for purposes which, in whole or part, fall within the objects of the charity;(f) informing the public about the plight of serving members and veterans of the armed forces.
