(1) to advance the education of the public of west yorkshire with a focus on the shadwell area of leeds through the provision of a community library facility and associated services.(2) to further other purposes recognised as charitable under english law or under the recreational charities act 1958 (now replaced by section 5 of the charities act 2011) and any charitable purpose not covered by the other descriptions of purposes set out in section 3 of the charities act 2011 and any new charitable purposes that may be recognised in the future as being similar to or within the spirit of another charitable purpose.
