to advance the islamic religion for the benefit of the public within the metropolitan borough of rochdale by:- a) providing a place (mosque) for muslim congregational prayers, five timesdaily led by an imam (priest); b)to provide a place (mosque)for the weekly friday prayer (jumma), a special congregation led by an imam who will also read the friday sermons; c)to provide a place (mosque) for the two eid prayers, special annual congregations led by an imam~who will also read the eid sermons; d)to provide islamic education to children (from the age of 5 to 15);e) to provide continuing islamic education to adults through seminars and conferences; f)to provide an imam for solemnizing the muslim marriage and issuing of a marriage certificate; and g)to provide a mortuary service.
