the objects of the cio are:4.1 the advancement of the arts through:4.1.1 the promotion and presentation of opera, classical music and music that is rarely performed, to the highest possible standard; and4.1.2 the provision of a venue for use by high quality, small opera companies wishing to stage productions: and4.2 to advance the education of:4.2.1 the public in opera, classical music and music that is rarely performed;4.2.2 young professional performers in the early stages of their careers;4.2.3 young directors, designers and those seeking to work in backstage technical areas; and4.2.4 music college students.4.3 nothing in this constitution shall authorise an application of the property of the cio for the purposes which are not charitable in accordance with section 7 of the charities and trustee investment (scotland) act 2005 and section 2 of the charities act (northern ireland) 2008.
