the relief of poverty and the advancement of health and the saving of lives in particular but not exclusively among members of the south asian community in england and pakistan by some or all of the following means:- promoting nursing and midwifery as careers - through supporting educational and training initiatives and programmes in particular those entering the medical profession- promoting better cooperation and understanding between those in the medical profession - running health awareness and educational programmes including greater thalassemia awareness and the effects of other blood disorders- family planning and welfare programmes in particular but not limited to providing better support for women - running anti drug and anti cigarette programmes and providing support to those with addictions - support for children and young people and aged people with a charitable need (including a hostel or hostels) - working with other agencies and organisations in furthering the objects of the charity.
