objectsthe objects of the cio are to further, primarily but not exclusively for the benefit of those living in local authority areas in which chelmer housing partnership limited owns or manages or plans to own or manage housing stock and neighbouring local authority areas (the area of benefit) such charitable purposes (charitable under the law of england and wales) as the trustees see fit from time to time in particular but not exclusively:3.1 the prevention or relief of poverty and the relief of financial hardship by providing grants, items and services to individuals in need and/or charities or other organisations working to prevent or relieve poverty;3.2 the relief of financial hardship, either generally or individually by making grants of money for providing or paying for items, services or facilities;3.3 the relief of the sick/poor, either generally or individually, through the provision of grants, goods or services;3.4 the relief of unemployment of individuals for the benefit of the public in such ways as may be thought fit, including assistance to find employment;3.5 the advancement of education, training or retraining, particularly among unemployed people, and providing unemployed people with work experience;3.6 the relief of unemployment by the provision of financial assistance, technical assistance or business advice or consultancy in order to provide training and employment opportunities for unemployed people in cases of financial or other charitable need through help:(a) in setting up their own business, or(b) to existing businesses;3.7 the relief of those in need and the advancement of education and training in particular by the creation of training and employment opportunities and by the provision of workspace, buildings, and/or land for use on favourable terms;3.8 the promotion of equality and diversity for the benefit of the public by promoting the elimination of discrimination on grounds of race, religion, disability or ethnic origin by raising awareness and understanding of the background, qualities and needs of individuals living in and organisations and groups operating in the area of benefit and by promoting attitudes, customs and practices in favour of equality;3.9 the maintenance, improvement or provision of public amenities including community halls and other premises available for use by the community or any sector of it;3.10 the provision of recreational facilities for the public at large or those who by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, financial hardship or social and economic circumstances, have need of such facilities in the interests of social welfare with the aim of improving their conditions of life;3.11 to promote the protection or conservation of the environment;3.12 to promote good health and wellbeing by the provision of public health and childcare facilities;3.13 to develop the capacity and skills of members of communities where there is social and economic deprivation in such a way that they are better able to identify, and help to meet, their needs and to participate more fully in society;3.14 to promote social inclusion for the public benefit and to relieve the needs of people who feel excluded from society (due to their age, disability, ill health, financial hardship or other disadvantage) in particular among those experiencing loneliness living in the area of benefit;3.15 to relieve those in need in particular by providing support for those living in the area of benefit suffering from, or caring for a household member with, dementia;3.16 to promote volunteering develop volunteers and volunteering activities to order to achieve or further a charitable purpose or purposes (that are charitable under the law of england and wales) for the public benefit;3.17 to promote good health and wellbeing by such charitable means as the trustees see fit including partnering for health improvement amongst those living in the area of benefit and their families; and3.18 the promotion of such other charitable purposes (charitable under the law of england and wales) for the public benefit in the area of benefit as may from time to time be determined by the trustees.
