Objects:
the objects of the charity are for the public benefit:(1) in the interests of social welfare, to improve the conditions of life of persons, in the area of benefit, by the provision of recreational facilities or other leisure time occupation;(2) the advancement of education and training (including physical education) for young persons and adults in the area of benefit;(3) the promotion in the area of benefit of community participation in recreation in particular by the provision of facilities for the playing of amateur sports;(4) the provision of facilities to support the health and wellbeing of the persons in the area of benefit the charity’s objects (objects) are specifically restricted to the following:(a ) the advancement of education, training or retraining, particularly among unemployed people, and providing unemployed people with work experience;(b ) for the public benefit to promote education (including social and physical training) of people (particularly people under the age of 25) in such ways was the directors think fit, including by:(i) awarding to such persons scholarships, maintenance allowances or grants tenable at any university, college or institution of higher or further education; and(ii) providing their education (including the study of music or other arts), to undertake travel in furtherance of that education or to prepare for entry to any occupation, trade or profession on leaving any educational establishment;(iii) to assist in such ways as the directors think fit any charity in in the tees valley and in particular the town of hartlepool whose aims include advancing education of persons under the age of 25 years by developing their mental, physical and moral capabilities through leisure time activities.(c ) the provision of financial assistance, technical assistance or business advice or consultancy in order to provide training and employment opportunities for unemployed people in cases of financial or other charitable need through help: (i) in setting up their own business, or (ii) to existing businesses;(d ) the creation of training and employment opportunities by the provision of workspace, buildings, and/or land for use on favourable terms;(e ) the advancement of education for the benefit of the public by the provision of funds to provide new, or improved facilities for teaching, or healthy recreation at schools, colleges, or universities;(f ) to promote and further community participation in healthy recreation and amateur sports by the provision of funds to organise coaching and training and to provide, secure and develop public grounds, facilities and premises for the playing of team games and amateur sports;(g ) the provision of recreational facilities for the public at large or those who by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, financial hardship or social and economic circumstances, have need of such facilities; (h ) to promote social inclusion for the public benefit by preventing people from becoming socially excluded, relieving the needs of those people who are socially excluded and assisting them to integrate into society - and for the purpose of this clause “socially excluded†means being excluded from society, or parts of society, as a result of one or more of the following factors: unemployment; financial hardship; youth or old age; ill health (physical or mental); substance abuse or dependency including alcohol and drugs; discrimination on the grounds of race, sex, disability, ethnic origin, religion, belief, creed, sexual orientation or gender-reassignment; poor educational skills attainment; relationship and family breakdown; poor housing (that is housing that does not meet basic habitable standards); crime (either as a victim of crime or as an offender rehabilitating into society);(i ) to generally carry out activities as may advance and encourage education;(j ) to advance in life and help young people through:(i) the provision of recreational and leisure time activities provided in the interest of social welfare, designed to improve their conditions of life;(ii) providing support and activities which develop their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as mature and responsible individuals;(iii) to help young people, especially but not exclusively through leisure time activities, so as to develop their capabilities as they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society;(iv) to act as a resource for young people up to the age of 25 by providing advice and assistance and organising programmes of physical, educational and other activities as a means of:(1) advancing in life and helping young people by developing their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as independent, mature and responsible individuals;(2) advancing education;(3) relieving unemployment;(4) providing recreational and leisure time activity in the interests of social welfare for people living in the area of benefit who have need by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disability, poverty or social and economic circumstances with a view to improving the conditions of life of such personsand such objects shall be applied towards the benefit of the people living in in the tees valley and in particular the town of hartlepool.
