Objects:

1) to promote sustainable development for the benefit of the public by:a) the preservation conservation and protection of the environment and the prudent use of resources;b) the relief of poverty and the improvement of the conditions of life in socially and economically disadvantaged communities;c) the promotion of sustainable means of achieving economic growth and regeneration.and to advance the education of the public in subjects relating to sustainable development and the protection, enhancement and rehabilitation of the environment and to promote study and research in such subjects provided that the useful results of such study are disseminated to the public at large.sustainable development means development which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.2) to advance the education of the public in their knowledge and understanding of effective leadership, strategy and management and to mentor, coach and provide training in and develop effective leadership, strategy and management skills to individuals, communities and organisations with particular reference to charities and the not for profit sector;3) for the public benefit, the promotion of the voluntary sector and the efficiency and effectiveness of charities. for the purposes of this object, the ‘voluntary sector’ means charities and voluntary organisations:- charities are organisations, which are established for exclusively charitable purposes in accordance with the law of england and wales.- voluntary organisations are independent organisations, which are established for purposes that add value to the community as a whole, or a significant section of the community, and which are not permitted by their constitution to make a profit for private distribution. voluntary organisations do not include local government or other statutory authorities;4) to advance such other exclusively charitable purposes as are compatible with the purposes referred to at 1), 2) and 3) above, as the directors in their discretion think fit.
