the objects for which the charity is established are to promote for the public benefit the upholding and proper administration of the law by(a) encouraging, supporting and advising lawyers, governmental and non-governmental organisations in the provision of pro bono legal services; and (b) advancing the education and training of lawyers, governmental and non-governmental organisations undertaking or intending to undertake pro bono legal services.in this article, “pro bono legal services†means (i) the provision of legal advice and representation and other legal services on a no fee basis to individuals and groups of individuals and organisations who by reason of their inadequate means cannot afford such legal advice, representation or services, and (ii) the provision of financial and other resources in support of such services.
