the objects of the cio are (1) to develop the capacity and skills of the members of the public in such a way that they are better able to identify, and help meet, their needs and to participate more fully in society. (2) the promotion of equality and diversity for the public benefit by (a) advancing education and raising awareness in equality and diversity; (b) promoting activities to foster understanding between people from diverse backgrounds be it based on ethnicity, faith, gender or geography. (3) for the public benefit to promote learning for pleasure by people no longer in full time employment or education through the continued development of their individual capabilities, competencies, skills and understanding in subjects of educational values. (4) the promotion of social inclusion, health and well-being among elderly and less-able persons who are excluded from society because they are house-bound, or who are unable to drive or easily access public transport, by the provision of (but not limited to): (a) a transport service to and from recreational and public services; (b) outings and social trips including transport to and from home; (c) educational and learning facilities (d) luncheon group or similar gatherings
