the objects of the cio are specifically restricted to carrying out any object that is exclusively charitable according to the laws of england and wales, including in particular the following:(1) advancing the amateur sport of sailing by delivering and supporting projects which provide opportunities for young people to participate in sailing;(2) advancing education in maritime-based fields by supporting projects which provide maritime industry specific skills and training opportunities; (3) advancing science by supporting research and development projects within the maritime industry;(4) advancing environmental improvement by supporting projects which raise awareness of the need for sustainable oceans and waterways.
