the following objects are for the public benefit:-(1)to advance the jewish religion by teaching and practising the beliefs and practices of liberal judaism, in particular but not exclusively by;(a)providing religious education for children and adults and providing facilities and teaching leading to kabbalat torah (confirmation);(b)providing and maintaining a place for public religious worship and to provide, arrange and conduct religious services;(c)providing facilities for the solemnisation of marriages civil partnerships and mixed-faith blessings and for burials and cremations;(d)to undertake such other religious, educational, recreational and charitable activities as the council may decide in furtherance of this purpose; and(2)the advancement of religious and racial harmony, in particular but not exclusively by furthering the understanding of jewish culture and observance for the benefit of the wider community and by facilitating and encouraging inter-faith and inter-cultural exchange.
