Objects:
the charity's objects (objects) are for the benefit of the public generally in the united kingdom and in particular the inhabitants of derby and its surrounding areas:to promote any charitable purpose for the benefit of the community in the united kingdom; and for the general purposes of such charitable bodies as the trustees may from time to time decide; and, in particular, but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing; to advance in life and help young people, in particular those living in foster care, through:- the provision of musical, recreational and other leisure time activities provided in the interest of social welfare, designed to improve their conditions of life;- the provision of support and activities which develop their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as mature and responsible individuals; and- the promotion of social inclusion;to relieve poverty, financial hardship and deprivation through such means as the trustees think fit including, in particular (but not by way of limitation) by providing financial and other material assistance to those in need;to advance the education of children and other persons (including their academic, social and physical education) through such means as the trustees think fit in accordance with the law of charity; andto promote community participation in healthy recreation by providing facilities for the playing of association football and other sports capable of improving health (facilities in this article 3 means land, buildings, equipment and organising sporting activities).
