the objects of the cio are(1) the advancement of health, in particular to promote and protect the health of the public by co-ordinating research into the causes, prevention, treatment and cure of all forms of cancer and into the needs of people affected by cancer; and(2) to promote collaboration between cancer research funders in the united kingdom to maximise the value and benefits of cancer research for the benefit of the public; nothing in this constitution shall authorise an application of the property of the cio for the purposes which are not charitable in accordance with section 7 of the charities and trustee investment (scotland) act 2005 and section 2 of the charities act (northern ireland) 2008
